I just had a random thought....Builder of the Week or Month Contest, Nominees are chosen by people and voted for with pictures and details of their builds, With their name being glorified on the forums Just a random thought that might be a bit of fun

i dont think its a bad idea at all great way to occupy people who are constantly "bored" on the server, i suggest weekly due to resetting

A) Can anybody vote or will it just be OP+ voting?
B) What ranks are liable for builder of the month?
C) must Contenders build on a specific map?

I say we have a map dedicated to weekly builds. Best build at the end of the week will get a temporary "prize-winner" rank in which they have a higher cuboid and some additional building commands (no moderation commands, will be slightly higher than agent in terms of cuboid and stuff). No additional moderation commands past the ones you have already earned. Winner would maintain his champion status until the next winner is chosen next week. Anybody like?

I saw this for beta but it can primarily work for classic too, a theme each week where 2 or more builder have to build something whether its a space ship to a house, everyone would have the same amount of building area and a time limit would be set and maybe even a timetable for when the next competition would take place and the best one wins btw im more than happy to use my map for this if anyone would like to participate but then it would only be builder or higher

If it's builder or higher we should put a limit on how high because i'm pretty sure the ops and admins have awesome builds in their maps/backups that (if they wanted) they could copy and paste and get the win.I don't think any op+ would do this but we have to cover our bases if we are going to make this fair. I suggest architect as the cut off.

Well it could be rank vs rank....no copy and paste at all would be allowed no matter what rank you are plus my awesome build got wiped but anyways......it wouldnt happen and would be closely monitored and there are many other players that are better builders than me for instance, infact building hasnt been on my agenda of recent but it soon will be after im finished with a big project on beta in which i will then get back into building join in the fun and perhaps beat you all at the competition

Yes and i forgot to mention too that it would be in a restricted area....no building outside of it so again if an ops build is big and they try to copy and paste it, it wouldnt work and would be i spose a disqualification

for the op vs community thing in order to make it fair ops can't copy from their world and paste it into the competition

They just wouldnt be able to, as a i said, it would be in a restricted amount of area, depending on how big their creation is it wouldnt work...plus anyone op caught attempting to do so would be disqualified and very much frowned upon
