hey Enderking here! guess what? ive been having ideas of... A REAL LIFE STYLE ACROSS THE WORLD EXPEDIOTION! i've been going a while and i've set up a tent for 2! thing is.. as u may know i need an assistant on my journeys it will be great fun im sure! what im planning to do... if many volunteers come is to make a campsite (as the warp suggests to get to the tent) u can bring whatever you want with you... at day we will be exploring... at night we warp back to the tent (/warp campsite) then at dawn we type /back to get back to where we were!
NOTE THAT YOU MUST BE ATLEAST A MEMBER ON SMP!

awesome! 2 people already and yes hcart we could... ive got a proper campsite now with about 6 tents and a log cabin belonging to joe...

Why not have an objective, otherwise it would get boring? My idea: I could pick a place on the map using a magical mapping program that is far away. Occasionally along the way I would leave a cabin...that way you know if your going in the right direction plus it would be a bonus. It could also be a race, each cabin would have a hint for the direction, that way you have sub goals to keep you from giving up. The final goal would be a HUGE distance away, as in making the mooshroom islands look very close ^^. Y/n if you like it or not, leave your opinions etc

I have an idea as well. You have 1 week (IRL) to reach a target destination. Like Techy's idea, cabins will be placed along the way for you to sleep in. 1 player can do this while the other is away for some reason. You only start off with 1 wooden pickaxe, a map and 5 tree. Along the way, in each cabin there's a chest and a sign. The sign states a challenge you must complete to advance to the next cabin. The sign will state something like, place 10 tree into the chest to advance or something like that. After completing the challenge the cabin holds, the players are free to leave. If a player is found skipping a challenge, he must go back to the cabin he last visited. If the player is found skipping more than 2, he will go back to 2 cabins. If the player is found skipping more than 3, the player is taken back to the start, along with the team. Challenges get harder as they go on. After completing the challenge, there will be another chest with a reward in it. Players taking the reward without participating in the challenge will have their inventory wiped and reset with 1 wooden pickaxe, a map and 5 tree. You are allowed to skip only 1 challenge excluding the last 3, as they would be the hardest. Beacons will be placed along they way to make sure you are following the right path. These beacons are little lamp posts made from fence and lightstone an will be placed something like 100+ blocks of each other. An admin does not need to be present while you participate in the hike but you must always record your results. A sign will also be placed in the cabin where you write something like "Completed, proceeding to next checkpoint" or something like that. Ops+ should also regularly check the progress of the participants too see if they are following the guidelines. And last but not least, no mods. Use of mods will result in a DQ from the hike.

The only problem with a challenge at the cabin is that it isnt about the expedition anymore, its about checkpoints, It would be like a path to an objective not an exploration. Plus it would be alot of effort to reset it for anyone who tried it.

techy's first post is a pretty good idea... what i wasoding was to cross the whole map then i realised it goes on forver :/ so... checkpoints... definately goal... as a snow biome has prieviously been found i have no idea... alot of elipseses in this post basically what i am planning to do with these "checkpoints" is do like a little campsite at each one but the main campsit IS the one i was telling u about so yeah... there are plenty of tentss free if any1 still wants one

and also change of rules: various items to begin with the items are a map... a compass (if possible to lead back to the campsite) 10 beed... a fishing rod... a wooden sword and a wooden pickaxe also 10 raw wood

ll but the very final building is ready, Should take you several days to a week of travel to get there. I STRONGLY suggest one member of each party have a minimap that has NESW options. SE is the way to go, until I tell you otherwise in the journey. You will be landing on the paradise archipelago on an island, as no one but me knows what that means it completely useless information
