I have an idea for a new level, imagine creating a really high level where when you look down all you see is fog, then add a few floating islands to build on (similar to how guest is but the islands would be round). When you jump down you will eventually land on an air portal which stretches across the entire map which will then transport you back to the center island while displaying a clever message like "RedFox102 fell to his death". The name of this place could be Sky, Skybuild, Skyland or something similar. I got this idea from a playstation home space called "Aurora" which I've attached a picture of. Attachment:

I also realize this could be quite laggy, we could also have a regular sized level and strategically place white blocks shaped like clouds.

The only problem with levels like this is the actual size of them. In order to have a map tall enough to appear as fog/out of draw distance the maps height alone would need to be at least 2048m. Consider that guest is 64m tall, and builder/architect is 128m tall. Even my map is 512m tall. Plus, the air portal is fine, however they don't support messages. I could create a new block type which level messages instead of private messages. It's an interesting idea, but we'll see what the community thinks about this.

All you have to do is put one layer of mb_air blocks saying "So and so fell to his death" right above the portal blocks. Simple enough, amirite?

True however that message would only be played to the player that walked through them.

That's true. Or you could set the fall damage properties on the map really high. I know there is a way to do this, and all it requires is a change in the /map settings. If I remember correctly, it will send out a message saying "X fell to his death". Either that or you can recode the death message from Nerve gas from "He suffocated and died" (paraphrasing) to "He fell to his death" and just add a layer of that to the bottom.

Well we could have the islands float over lava, and create some obsidian rocks coming out of the lava to make it more interesting. Also, another interesting thing about aurora is you travel between islands through round portals, so you could have a round frame with a water portal inside, and when you walk through your transported to the island the portal was facing. I personally think this would be epic. But I'm open to ideas about what to put below the floating islands.

Haha well since you are an operator now, why don't you go ahead and start making it in your map?

Ever since i became a half-op i haven't had time, every time i try and leave guest a new player joins or someone reports grief. My timezone may be Eastern standard but I'm usually on at 12am-6am (i know its strange) and so far no other ops have been on at that time, and the fact that guest is flooded with new players every day doesn't help Hopefully we'll be near the bottom of the server list again soon.

I have been hard at work making islands for Red's map since the creation of this thread. It looks awesome.

I've been working in Bel's map to make islands and the like too. I've named the collection of islands Belgerna.
