What do you guys think about "Death-Note: Awakening"? Awakening could be replaced with any word with a similar meaning, but i think its a perfect name that would attract attention.
edit: Changed the name, if anyone has a better idea let me know
So in the last 7 days hawk-note has only had 13 views, i suspect changing the name to Death Note will make it easier for people to find, and the thumbnail clearly indicates it's minecraft video.
Hello! just here to say that I like the new name but when I searched it the first four videos all had 'death-note' and 'awakening' in them *edit* none of the videos were the right one either DX *edit*I dont have any better suggestions myself but ill keep thinking! kthnxbai

Changing the name definitely helped, daily views are more than quadruple what they were before the name change. Who knows, it might break a million by next week XD

I just did a little test, i replaced the glowstone texture with a solid green color and created a room in my lookout tower called "Korin Studio". Here are the results :3
And here is a screenshot of the room.
This will open up new possibilities, and will be particularly helpful with the opening credits.
I feel sorry for the pigmen though, they look so confused in the video

So the other day I was looking at some skin editing tutorials cause I was planning on making some Minecraft Machinimas with my friend. While I was searching, I found something on how to make HD Skins. I think that that would be useful for Hawk-Note. To make it, just add double the original amount or triple or how many times you need. Default is 8. Then 16, 24, 32 etc. The higher the number= the more detail goes into it.

The default is 16px for each block, which makes it a 256x256 grid, and the texture size must be a power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 etc). For textures larger than 512px (64px per block), the game needs to be patched to accept it.

I needed a logo for the opening, so i created one similar to the original death note logo from the first opening. Its a little different, the letters aren't turned sideways (although i tried, but it just didn't look right) and the katakana now reads "Hawk Note". Also the letters aren't textured (again, i tried, but it just doesn't look right in a minecraft video). Here it is.
New Logo
You cant tell from the picture, but the center is actually transparent, and there is a white border around "Hawk-Note".
Original
The transparency will be replaced with an animated background of some sort, most likely fire.
I know it isn't perfect, but changes can be made once I've seen what it looks like with a background.
Edit: The size difference between the vertical and horizontal transparent lines will be fixed after i get some sleep.
hmm...i don't think fire would do very well. I would think more of a waving flag like fabric would look nicer. I doubt red and keep it more gray scale. In the end, you could probably mess around with a few things see how they look publish them here get some critiques on what we all think of them, then we choose which one we like best and use that.

I actually animated the new logo a few days ago, but i never got around to uploading it.
The only thing wrong with it right now is the white around the edges of the katakana, but overall its a pretty accurate recreation of the original logo animation. Changing the background is super easy, so if one of you finds a higher quality version, let me know
In true anime style, there will be a short 5 second sequence before this logo, not exactly sure what it will be yet. And there will be a 15 to 30 second seqence after the logo, which will most likely end with some of our names and the hawknet logo.
Also, would it be alright if i added an annotation at the end of each episode linking to the hawknet computing homepage? Obviously there wouldn't be much traffic, but who knows, my videos could break a million views per-day next week (hey i can dream...) Or we might be able to draw a little traffic to the beta server. I guess this question is mostly for zion or county.
edit: Oh and I'm trying to get permission from the guy who made the L's theme remix i posted above to use his music in the opening. It just fits so well...
Time to move on to phase 2, meaning i need source material for the opening. After that will be phase 3, the actual episode production I'll post something in the chatbox when i need help, which will be asap :3

I like your intro. The problem is the bursting fire looks a bit weird cause it's kinda endless. If it was like a one burst and then the title appears it would look better. That's just my opinion. Anyway it looks great ^3^b

OH and another thing I realized was that I lag a LOT in SMP and it's unusual that it lags that much. What I'm thinking is that since Zion's running Terraria, Freebuild, and the SMP server it causes a lot more lag than normal. If Zion could do something on his part that would help me a lot.

I'm not overly keen on the repeated fire explodie thing, but I like the fire explodie thing. I think removing the fire explodie repeatie thing that happens multiple times and try either a long explodie thing instead of multiple short ones?

I know what you mean, but its a prerendered looping background, so there isn't much i can change about it I might be able to find a similar one though...

Still working on a few things, right now I'm trying to make a logo for my channel "TeamSuperHawk" (which is the channel hawk-note is on).
I'm planning on uploading a few videos of builds on the smp server as well, so hopefully the channel will gain a few hundred more views.
Also, I'm about to revive the hawk-note ideas topic. I need as many ideas and suggestions as possible if hawk-note is going to succeed. I just hope you guys have more ideas than i do :3

First of all, Does the build have to be on Hawknet SMP, cause I can make good builds, but I feel kinda restricted on that server. Second of all, I think you should name the series HawkBuilds.

I've actually just started making videos on classic, so that's no problem.
I'll be moving build videos over to another channel when i find a name that isn't taken :l The channel name has to have "raven" in it, but it cant contain any numbers. The best i can come up with is "RavenGamerTV", since every other variation of "ravengamer" is taken unfortunately. What do you think?

My channels are all named after birds :p raven just sounds better than crow. I ended up naming it RavenArcade, I honestly couldn't believe the username wasn't taken xD
