We've just ordered in the parts for our server upgrade, this upgrade will be happening on Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully the server wont be down for too long or at all if we put it on either mine or Zion's machine while we rebuild the server. The parts are:

• Asus P67 Sabertooth Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION **
  
• Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit
  
• Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM
  
• Noctua NF-P12 Vortex-Control 120mm Quiet Case Fan - 3 Pin

This will make the server machine more powerful than mine or Zion's processing wise :3

Hawknet and all its services will be offline for the duration of the upgrade. This includes the website, forums, and Minecraft server. We will post an ETA of return on a page dedicated to the downtime.

So will there be less lag when the Server is full of people? Hopefully, there will...

Among other things yes, however it will only eliminate the lag caused on our end. Users with slower internet or computers will still experience some lag.

Well, not me, I've got a good PC, so YAY! No more LAG!

The hardware upgrade is now complete, all services have been restored.
