I've been spending the past few days on Second Life, building a house for me and Chris to relax with friends and somewhere to call our own. Here are a few images. ^^ Large images ahead...

Loving the exterior, especially the garden. The interior does look quite Asian and great for relaxing during a break of the sort ^.^

the texturing is a bit bad but that's probably the game's fault but the building looks quite fine

the organic textures lack bump mapping or much of it but the rock textures are good, the wood texture in the 3rd picture doesn't look quite like wood and looks 2D, the shingles on the roof are stretched on the edges and don't have much bump mapping, and the mountain in the back looks obviously flat d:

I see most of this is due to bump mapping? Second Life doesn't really support bump mapping very well, and doesn't allow you to use custom bump maps. For the wood in the third picture, I imagine you mean the lattaces? If so, I can't modify those due to being created by someone else. I am planning to replace them with my own. The mountain range in the background is actually a 3D sculpt map, not a skybox, etc. The texture quality is poor though, so that's why it may look flat. The shingles on the roof actually look quite good I think. I took a fair bit of time lining the corners up correctly. ^^

Around 36 hours. This build is the third instance, the ones before it being scrapped due to using too many resources.

Looked at Zion's sig and apparently, he has a custom textures for classic. I tried to do that, but it made MC Classic look worse D:
