For anyone who's interested I've stated making my some of my Minecraft skin availible at Minershoes. However as site navigation there isn't the best I'm providing a URL strait to my own page.

My minershoes username is AnimeFanOG5 so that's sort of a hint as to what most of my skins will be based around.

Additional word of warning! Some skins users upload to minershoes are considered to involve nudity, however it's the same with skindex so can't really win either way. Just me mindful as to what your looking for or create a skin from scratch. Craftygirl2000 also creates her skins via this sites facilities. I would do a tutorial but I found the best way to learn was to just mess about with it.

P.S. I'm only doing it this way as I like Skindex even less.

For making skins, you should use SkinEdit.
Really useful and all my skins are made from it.

the skins still work if you don't have it it's just not as pony so the cutie mark will still be on the leg

Skins are a challenge in the aspect that you are restricted due to the resolutions of the skin in my opinion. Other that that, I agree that it is fun to make skins.
