Needs antialiasing around the font, but otherwise 'tis good. Maybe even an orange glow around the font too, keep the colours simple.

Forum signatures arnt really my forte but this one took me nearly 50 minutes to complete. Still need to work on text placement and my smudging technique :/

meh. the glow around the text is blueish which is complementary to orange.

Text is still not anti aliased, just looks bolder now. Doesn't paint.net support font anti aliasing?

not really, i tried doing anti aliasing and it didn't do anything not many pixels to work with but at least it's not as obvious now

Surely you used a font file to type the text? It doesn't work when you've rasterised the text as a flat image. You may have to retype the text out to actually anti alias it. All text should remain typefaces unless you really need to rasterise them.

Touched up the background image to remove pixel artifacts (near the wings and flame) and created two text layers, one with a large white glow, and another on top with a smaller white glow.
I have tried playing about with your rank, Fire, but as Belgeran said, it unbalances the image.

Yeah , i even had to make the text bold to make it more visible. I tried to make it as visible but I only wanted the text black because it suited the background.
