Just bringing this to your attention, but a few of you already know.

Scheduled tomorrow, the 6th of September, we are due for the installation of a faster internet service. This service will be 5 times faster than our current service, at 100Mbps.

For the installation process, a new internet line needs to be fitted, which means that the entire network connection here will be lost. The downtime will occur at 8:00am BST, and will be back up at some point later that day, or the day after. It depends on how long it takes for the installation to complete, and the line to be activated. Without this, we will be lacking in a solid internet connection.

All of this depends on when Virgins' engineer comes out to install the line and new modem. Of course, if they're late, or cancel for whatever reason, the server will be restored until a new date is confirmed.

The website will remain active until the very last moment. Unfortunatly I cannot use the backup website which I used during the server upgrade since the entire house will be disconnected.

The end results of this can mean that both servers can support more connections, and the Beta server will be online 24/7 (minus crashing/restarts).

We hope to see you all again tomorrow night, fingers crossed.

Internet upgrade is complete. It's just taking a while for Netfirms to update their DNS to our new IP, hence why the header images not working, and links to the main site not working.

The servers will remain offline until the entire website is working again. We have a new IP, which means that all bookmarks to Hawknet Freebuild will be lost due to the new salt we'll be getting (back to the top of the Minecraft server listing, ops will need to regular on there a lot to prevent it from being overwhelmed).

I'll post a link to the new Hawknet link, and update the stickies to relate also. Due to the new found bandwidth, we'll be upping the player limit to 32, since we can. The beta server will remain at 20 players, and can remain online all day now, since no cap is applied to us at any time.

fuuuuuu, speed test.net says my internet speed is 4mb download and 0.83 upload. Awful.

12 ms, 7.11 download, 4.19 download
