So some hacker/hacking group got a hold of Amazon/Playstation Network/a bunch of other people, and the internet SUCKS now I was so looking forward to playing some Crysis 2 multiplayer this weekend... Anonymous has denied any involvement but hey... if anyone had the power to do it would be them.

Yall's thoughts?

everyone pretty much knows it was them they apperantly did one hell of a job with it also since the PSN network has been down for 4 days now

and i have noticed alot more lag lately not just on minecraft but also other games

Maybe they just need to hire more workers at the internet factory

anonymous did, there was a file on one of sony's servers titled "Anonymous" and inside simply said "We are legion."

So Sony is probably gonna sue the hell out of them... either they win and a bunch of basement dwelling hackers are gonna be in debt or in jail for a long time... or they just get mega hacked all over again

I think your mistaken, Sony could sure them but Sony will get sued so bad, because they failed to protect users private information. Which is a Law.

Sony did protect their information. It may not have been encrypted, but it was definatly protected. It was in a closed network in which only some Sony employees had access to.

The biggest infringement is the hackers, unlawfully gaining access to protected networks, and unlawfully recording users financial details without the users written concent. Sony is fully protected here, in terms of Law anyway. Their userbase will probably run them into the ground.

Anonymous hacked it for 3 days, the rest was sony putting in precautions and extra security.
