Post subject:  Copyright Claims

So a company by the name of "Pirames International Srl" has just issued a copyright claim on a video of mine. My video contains a remix of Till I Collapse by Eminem. The claim, is for a song called Fake MC's by Kobra. Which is also a remix of the same song. As far as I know, remixes aren't legally allowed to be copyrighted. So my question is, is Pirames International Srl legally allowed to claim my video? If not, what can I do to regain monetary rights to my video again?

Unfortunately, we're not lawyers, and cannot provide legal advice. Anything written in this and any below posts are not legal advice.

It will be better to make a counter claim against the takedown request, however you will want to make sure that the people issuing the claim actually hold copyright. Remixes can be copyrighted if they bought a license to copyright from the owners of the original content. In your counter claim, state the original source of the music, and try to point out differences between the two.

Otherwise, it's an automated service if it's on Youtube, and there's little you can do about it without making a massive fuss.
