here's why that's a semibad idea: 1) He'd have to give credit for texture pack in every episode of hawknote 2) It would be most prefered to have the permission from the person who made the texture pack to use the texture pack in the video

Precisely, I'm trying not to add any more copyrighted material
It'll probably get pulled for infringement as it is... Then again, I've seen full episodes of death note on youtube with absolutely no effort to avoid infringement, and the lot of them are from 2009 downward (3+ years without being pulled).

Why? because people must flag the video, and the owner of copyright needs to complete some sort of form that the video is a infringement. Also a link in the description towards the texturepack's thread won't get you pulled for infringement.

If the texture artist got a licence to copyright textures for a copyrighted game, then they could.
Also, Minecraft is copyrighted. Remember our discussion about the disclaimer to put infront of all videos. This may suffice, but it's still up to Mojang if they want to pull it down or not.

Alright, since people like the idea, we'll move on to phase 2, Proof of concept :3 I'll make a short video on the classic server showing the idea in action.
I don't think I'm going to make this like the krillin owned count though, i would rather have a "Matsuda owned count" or something similar.
As criminals begin dying from inexplicable heart attacks left and right, Interpol convenes to discuss the issue. Unable to come up with an explanation for this phenomenon, they turn to the world's most top ranked detective L, a mysterious super-sleuth whose true identity is supposedly unknown to everyone. L speaks to the Interpol representatives through a computer and an electronic voice, promising them that this phenomenon is indeed mass-murder and that he will be directly confronting the killer soon. Meanwhile, the rest of the general public is realizing that these deaths are no coincidence, and are beginning to call the responsible person "Kira", a play on the English word "killer". This displeases Light, who has been been going to great lengths to keep the Death Note safely hidden from his friends and family, but accepts it nonetheless. Through a fake broadcast, L tricks Light into killing a criminal on live television by presenting the criminal as L himself and directly challenging Kira's authority. And as the broadcast, which was advertised as being televised world-wide, was only being broadcast in Japan's Kanto region L is able to narrow down Kira's location substantially. Having played right into L's hands, an enraged and humiliated Light swears to hunt L down and eliminate him.
New characters in this episode are Soichiro Yagami, Touta Matsuda and L Lawliet. Then we have a couple minor characters, Watari and Lind L Tailor.
(Icpo scene) Whats great about this scene is there are a lot of characters in it that have no real part in the series, so we can literally use any voice clip we want. I think it would be funny to have them talk about something that has nothing to do with kira, like how cake is a lie :3 And then someone will interrupt them and say "This is no time to be joking around" and then the actual argument will commence.
I'm not 100% sure if this is the episode where Light makes the complex hiding place for the Death-Note in his desk. If it is, we could replicate that in Minecraft by making some sort of redstone contraption that hides the Death-Note. Then we could show a victim of it. (ex. being blown to pieces if they hit the wrong switch)
this is probably obvious, but... a chest? then maybe instead of having some fancy redstone thing we could just have someone blow it up on command. i like the ideas though

I can't just put it in a chest unfortunately, light is very specific when he's talking about it. He hides it in a drawer and goes into a lot of detail about it. And it would be a lot better if i could get a video of someone standing in front of it and pressing the button themselves, it would just look better in the end.

My friend, PISTONS Make a super advanced piston storage thingy and also have a dispenser hooked up with a fire-charge so if someone forces it to open, dispenser shoot, and FIRE. Seems legit, right?

I'm having trouble finding an argument about cake, but i did find this Skip to 2:25 I would rather not use audio from another death note parody, but i can't find anything else like it D: Using the original audio would be ideal, but with all the background noise in the icpo scene, sentence mixing would be impossible. I'm saving the kool-aid man intrusion for Lind L Tailer (The guy posing as L on tv) so that's not an option either.

I don't think its fair to have this topic stickied any longer, the ideas topic hasn't been very useful. I won't delete the topic, but i have unstickied it for now.
