The server currently has the following plugins:

Essentials [1000]
Permissions 3.1.8 [1000]
LWC [1000]
Heroic Death [1000]

All of these plugins need congifuring, hence the current issues with the server.

The server now runs the following plugins:

Essentials
EssentialsChat
Permissions 3.1.8
LWC
TimeSync
Heroic Death
iWatch
SignColours
PlgSetSpawn
ExactSpawn
PlayerStatusSign
MagicCarpet
SuperPickaxe

I am also in the process of creating my own plugin which will write the date and time to signs. ^^

Any more suggestions are always welcome. ^^

What do you mean by "wouldn't work with the current plugins"?
Also you could replace superpick with fast mining :D
Edit: i forgot to tell you about creeper heal.

Superpick is better than fast mining for whenever you dont want to instakill the item you press, IE buttons, switches, doors.

And some plugins do not play nice with others. When he says it wouldn't work, he means the conflicting plugins cause game breaking glitches or just simply don't function at all.

essentials and permission 3.x are a must for a bukkit server therefore i can't believe these 2 plugins won't work with them. Moreover i used falsebook with permissions and essentials from the beginning of my private server and had no problems, and same about buildr.

Probably updates to all four plugins that made them break, comments people have left reported conflicts.

Plus the fact that the plugins can't properly be moderated, so it can cause some issues with abuse.

Almost always you see comments with conflicts and issues and errors at a plugin, the only way you can verify a plugin works is to install it and see it yourself.
I agree with you with the abuse thing but you're not supposed to give all the features to a member or a guest you give the lightweight ones like creating gates and bridges (falsebook) and some basic cuboid at buildr and also people who abuse should be threated as rulebreakers, personally i disagree with removing a command or a feature a class based on someone who abused of it.

Testing plugins on live servers is not ideal due to the fact that plugins cannot be disabled unless the plugin supports it, which most do not. Even then, the plugin can only be deleted if the server is offline, due to process locking.

Is there a Plugin to disable Endermen from Picking/Dropping blocks? Because they're the ultimate griefer in this case... They have stolen a lot of blocks from my house.

I don't want to install any plugins that force users to have clientside counterparts, or clientside mods. So Mo' Creatures is out of the question.

if mo' creatures was installed everyone would be able to be attacked and moved by the entities but if they don't have the mod installed they can't see them, which is why the server is only plugin based.

I suggest we should reactivate warps in Essentials. I remember when i was playing back in 1.7.3-1.0, Warps was really helpful, and i enjoyed having it on the server.

That would help but we'd have to keep it down to like 1 warp per member since last time we had 5 million warps that weren't used.

Indeed, or at least warps that expire after x days of none use. To my knowledge, Essentials doesn't support any of these things, so a dedicated warp plugin may be better.

I would like to suggest RedstoneJukeboxTrig http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/redstonejukeboxtrig/ It's a simple plugin that enables you to activate jukeboxes through redstone, i think this would be a cool addition to things like stores and houses, where when you walk in music starts playing.

welcome to the local barber shop, we'll be with you shortly. You can look through these magazines we have set out for your enjoyment. I hope you enjoy your stay.

I think it'd be interesting and would add new stuff for people to use to add something to their cities or the like.

I would also like to suggest midibanks-revival http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/midibanks/ This plugin can play midi files through note blocks. However, unless something has changed, this would require an admin to retrieve the midi file for you or have you send them the file. Possible uses would be for themed builds like laputa castle, gundam, death note, etc. So for example, In L's house you would hear L's theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTGlrcReWrk :D

Unfortunately, Midibanks-revival requires the plugin Vault, which we have no real need for with anything else. It requires the resoruces of two plugins, to make one work, and at the moment, it's not fully worth it.

If the project is open source, do let me know, and I'll try to dabber inside it to make it work without Vault, or you could request to the developer that they stop the hard dependency on Vault.

In terms of MusicJukeboxRedstoneThingamajig, it sounds like a good idea. Considering Minecraft is expected to update come tomorrow, we'll maybe see about this in the 1.3 server.

I checked on midibanks revival just for the heck of it, and it now lists vault as "optional". Could we possibly reconsider this plugin?

Just checked it again, it's become inactive. It probably won't update past 1.4.7 D: Oh well, maybe a similar plugin will show up one day.

it can rollback instances of worldedit since it logs plugin data so no more having to rollback large quantities of stuff.

I'm sure I replied to this post, but I may have just dreamed about it...

Anyway, what I said was:

I like the idea of this plugin, it seems to offer much more than LogBlock, however I'm going to assume that Prism will not be able to read LogBlock's database, so all current changes in this server may not exist any more.

So in order for this to work, we'd have to close the server down for a bit while we check over the terrain for any grief, or anomalies, then we can change the plugin, and run through the process of setting it up and learning how it works.

Or, we could wait until we update the server to 1.6.x, and go from there, repeating small parts of the above, since it will not cause for a new map.
