For the 1.4.4 server, maybe. For the Tekkit server, unless you find a 1.2.5 version, no.

zion it cuts down on move time and enables people to build more advanced structures.

My statement still stands. We may use it for the 1.4.4 server, but unless you find a 1.2.5 version for Tekkit, it will not be used in Tekkit. This is because it will likely be designed to use features in bukkit which are available in 1.4.4, but not in 1.2.5, resulting in errors due to missing functions.

The elevator track, which is already integrated, can be designed to function similarly. It's more complicated to make work smoothly, but, since you're not opposed to advanced structures, complicated shouldn't be an issue.
