They might be. If people are wandering too far to the edge, though, then you should try and drive them back like they have done before. Like spawning a bunch of enemies around in their path or something.

I made my own hunger games map ^.^
Rules were quite different though;
- Games will last 2 hours, and once a players leaves; he is disqualified from the games
- Only 1 player can win, and anybody can play
- Players must have an empty inventory before playing
- 1 referee per 4 players, with a max of 8 players playing
- Referees make sure that players are not cheating
- Modifying blocks is prohibited, unless you have found blocks in chests scattered across the map
- Players must not leave the main land; by doing so, you're leaving the play zone and you will stray from everybody else
- PVP is allowed when the game has started
- Any spectator may be a sponsor, but are only restricted to give the following items: Watermelon, apples, raw beef, cooked beef, raw pork chops, cooked pork chops, raw chicken, cooked chicken, iron sword, wooden sword, steel boots, steel leggings, steel helmet, leather boots, leather leggings, leather chest piece, leather helmet, bows and a max of 10 arrows, diamond sword, diamond helmet and a fishing rod. Some pieces of armor have been neglected to avoid sponsors giving contestants an overwhelming advantage. Giving players such an advantage is also prohibited.
- Players must read over the rules before playing
This is just a basic outline of the rules, I'd get more into depth but I don't want to make it so long.
The map is also quite balanced. You start in a large open field, and when the games begin, pistons push you up to allow you to run to the center chests and grab items. You proceed to run off and stay on the main land and kill all the players in PVP. There are hidden chests with items hidden throughout the main land. Find them, and they'll be a great asset. The map is about 60% trees and grass, the rest of the 40% being water, caves and other forms of terrain. Heaps of places to hide as well.

i'll probably participate in this, ive been working on my guardian skills for a while when the server was down, so i think i'll be ok, ish

*Pokes* May I remind you we are starting with nothing in the Hunger Games? And if you battle in The End you still fight with nothing. xD

I will participate in the Hunger Games, but I hope it will not be before 3-4 weeks, because otherwise I cant be in it (I am in France for a bit less than a month). Matrix in the Hunger Games you do not start with nothing. Everyone has a chest with random stuff right next to their starting point, in which you get some stuff. in the middle of the circle we are in, there is even more stuff, but going there is a choice. Do you want to risk it?
