I've been noticing that some of our members are getting demoted and their block counts aren't really being reset to their lowered rank.
I thought of a solution that could really help out the Moderating Team of Hawknet Freebuild; The /comment command set.
It should work like this: An OP could demote someone, and to warn other OPs of this user they could place a comment set for that user.
Syntax:
/addcomment [user] [Comment]
or
/removecomment [user]

This is, of course just a basic idea, but I think it could work and if it's possible then this command could potentially become extremely useful to our Moderating Team.

So, Zion, is this possible? Is it a good idea? What do you think?

I think it can be a very useful command for ops+

So pretty much /send and /inbox?

Granted it's not very noticable, but the feature is already here. Use /send [user] [message] to send a user a personal message when they are offline.

That user is then notified when they come online that they have a message. They read it with /inbox [num]

It's not very noticable right now, but will be in 67.4.1.0

the only problem with that is that ops can't exactly read past messages between users so other ops can't see the note.

Yeh, Belgeran, Zion and I talked about this a few days back. We were discussing a /send send OP+ command that would allow you to send a single message to the entire OP team exactly for instances like this. In my opinion, it could come in handy in many situations and hopefully Zion will implement it.

And for the original post, the reason many users weren't getting their blocks reset is because OPs had permission to use the /demote command but not the /setblocks command. I recently changed this a few days ago, so hopefully less of the discrepancies will occur

Okay, Puppy, I wasn't exactly ready for setblocks to be an op command just yet, but it does work fully for online users. It will not work if the user is offline, and may cause database issues if you try it, so please don't.

Always check that the user is online before using the command.
