First Note! This map only shoes the Biomes, Stronghold Areas, and Village Locations!

This is the large map of the Hawservian Plate, between the stronghold with the village above it is the spawn. Upon personal request I might add in some city names after they get established. Welcome to Hawknet!




As you can see there is quite alot of activity on our fine continent. Here I shall put the zoomed in to spawn map for your very own use! Beneath it I will try my best to make a key for you wall to use.labeling biomes and such.



Desert - Hot and very dry you have yourself the desert biome. It takes up about 5% of the area around the spawn.

Plains - Plain, windy, and very large you find yourself on the Hawknet plains. 7% never seemed so large once youve been through all the plains in the area.

Extreme Hills - Watch your step here, youve got yourself the extreme hills, good for mountain homes, diving into the ocean, and looking out over the world! These big hills take up about 4% of the area around the spawn.

Forest - Here you have the forests of Hawknet, great for wood, more wood, and if you like, leaves. Takes up 9% of the near spawn area.

Taiga - You got trees, now you want lots of trees? And large ones at that? Come to this 7% of the map and find yourself some new lumberjacking skills.

Swamps - Yes, thats right, swamps. Home of...well, swampyness, the word swamped, and muck! Check out this * 15% of the map when on break!

Rivers - Ever wanted to go rafting? Nows your chance! We may not have currents but by golly you can paddle your way down!

Mushroom Biome - Thats right! I cant find it on the map and neither can you! But its there! Go find it! This .5% of the map will blow your mind with its mooshrooms and giant mushrooms, you just wont be able to resist coming back!

Oceans - Thats right! I cant even figure out how large this biome is! Its huge! Over 25% of the map is dominated by oceans, large small and massive. You cant go wrong with these guys!

Is this the entire map, or just a large segment of it? If Dynmap or an alternative worked (and didn't impact the server too much) I'd run that alongside the server, which has live updates, and renders the map once in a while.

Not for 1 second did I believe that was accidental ^^

Is it just me or does it kinda look like a messed up version of Europe. The spawn is in Lichtenstein and the island to the top left is great Britain.

i still cant figure out how to orient myself online DX the mc sun rises in the north, so according to this i should have found a desert with a village straight north-west of the spawn, but i just found a forest... am i just being stupid?

You may be using a mod if the clouds and the sun move in the same direction... D:

im not using any mods.... i think ive figured it out though. im off to find the mooshroom island! and for anyone else who cant figure it out, my theory says that the direction you face when you spawn in the spawn is down. thus the mooshroom islands should be directly to the right of the spawn. off i go!

I use a minimap that doesnt show anything below ground level, very useful for direction finding ^^

So um, I run Bukkit Servers and based on my knowledge, I'm pretty sure that Bukkit has a dev build for 1.2.3. The question is if you like dev builds because they tend to be unstable. Also, could you tell me what the IP of the server is? Thanks!

In terms of Bukkit Dev Builds, some of you may not know it but you were actually playing on a Bukkit Dev Build for 1.1 for quite some time after 1.1's official release. It's not the fact that there is no bukkit builds, it's the fact that the plugins haven't updated yet.

This topic explains a lot about the updating process we go through.

So, um I can see that the SMP server is a faction server, yet I can't do anything faction related on the server. Please help.
