Almost always you see comments with conflicts and issues and errors at a plugin, the only way you can verify a plugin works is to install it and see it yourself. I agree with you with the abuse thing but you're not supposed to give all the features to a member or a guest you give the lightweight one...

essentials and permission 3.x are a must for a bukkit server therefore i can't believe these 2 plugins won't work with them. Moreover i used falsebook with permissions and essentials from the beginning of my private server and had no problems, and same about buildr.
